BRAD PITT’s worst fear after falling off his motorbike in traffic on Saturday (24Oct09) was how his partner ANGELINA JOLIE would react to the news.
The movie hunk clipped a parked car while weaving through traffic in Los Angeles, lost his balance and fell from his ride.
He tried to wave off paparazzi as he exchanged insurance details with the driver of a vehicle he scratched and then dashed into a nearby apartment complex to call for help.
While there, he told resident Talia Schwartz he was more concerned about Jolie’s reaction than the damage to his beloved bike.
She tells Life & Style magazine, “He told the building manager that Angie was going to kill him because she thinks motorcycles are too dangerous.
“He called someone to come and get his bike. He said he’d been in a fender bender but was OK; he just needed someone to tow his bike to the shop.”

The actress, a Goodwill Ambassador for the United Nations refugee agency (UNHCR), has been travelling across the war torn and poverty-stricken region since September (09) and she was joined by Pitt as she continued her tour with a stop in Jordan.

The couple made a trip to the SOS Children’s Village in Amman on 1 October (09) after accepting an invitation from American-born Queen Noor, who serves as the Honorary Chairman of the charity.

It was Jolie’s second time in the village after previously promising to pay for the running costs of one family’s home during a 2003 visit to Jordan.

And Jolie was delighted to see how well the village was being run.

She says, “The SOS model of providing care for children without parental care is one of the best, as they are still in a family setting within their own country.

“We hope more people learn about their programmes and give them support.”

Jolie has also met with Somali refugees in Kenya, while Pitt accompanied her to meet with Iraqi refugees in Syria in recent weeks.

Angelina Jolie is in talks to star in director Ridley Scott’s Gucci, which will chronicle the wild and glamorous story of the Gucci family in the 1970s and ’80s, when its 153 shops moved $500 million in product annually.

The catalyst will be Maurizio Gucci, the grandson of founder Guccio Gucci who emerged as the unlikely winner of a bloody power struggle to run the family business. Just when Maurizio was on the verge of his greatest success — a daring fashion show debuting the clothes of newcomer Tom Ford — his penchant for accumulating enemies caught up with him; Maurizio was gunned down in front of his Milan apartment in 1995.

Jolie would play Patrizia Reggiano, who was sentenced to 29 years in jail for plotting the murder of her ex-husband, Maurizio.

20th Century Fox is eying a 2010 start for the film. Scott has reportedly approached Leonardo DiCaprio for the role of Maurizio, but he is not signed at this point.

Angelina Jolie is reportedly teaming up with Swedish director Lasse Hallström for the spy thriller The Tourist.

Jolie, 34, was photographed leaving the Sony Studios Building in Culver City, Calif., Oct. 15, where she is rumored to have inked a deal for the new project. Charlize Theron, 34, was previously attached to the film but recently dropped out.

While there, Angelina was spotted chatting with Hallström outside the Sony building, reports x17.

The Stockholm-born Hallström, 63, has been widely praised for his work in My Life as a Dog (1985) and Chocolat (2000) and was nominated for an Academy Award for The Cider House Rules in 1999.Lasse Hallstrom

The Tourist is a remake of a 2005 French thriller Anthony Zimmer (which starred Sophie Marceau). The movie concerns an Interpol agent (Jolie) who manipulates an American tourist (played by Aussie Sam Worthington, who starred in Terminator Salvation) to entrap her ex-lover, a suspected international criminal.

Angelina has had incredible box-office success in action films such as Wanted (2008), Mr. and Mrs. Smith (2005), and the Lara Croft films (2001 and 2003). Combined, Jolie’s movies have grossed over $1.2 billion worldwide.

Jolie is expected to take up fight and weapons training for the action sequences in The Tourist. In 2001 and 2003, Angelina underwent martial arts training to prep for her role as action hero Lara Croft in the blockbuster Tomb Raider series.

Angelina, who reportedly does an hour of Pilates three times a week using the Nintendo Wii program Let’s Pilates!, revealed that she loves martial arts.

“I love martial arts,” she says. “They are ideal for children because they teach them discipline and perseverance. My son [Maddox, 8] is already starting to go to class. I like all of Bruce Lee’s films; he was the best. I also like Jackie Chan a lot.”

Production on The Tourist is set to begin in early 2010. Angelina’s next film, the CIA thriller Salt, opens in July 2010.
