“No, I’m not pregnant,” Angelina Jolie tells Vanity Fair contributing editor Rich Cohen, from the set of her movie in Venice, Italy. Perhaps in the future? “We’re not opposed to it. But we want to make sure we can give everybody special time. They’re kids now, and can play together, but they’re going to need a lot more talking in the middle of the night, like I did with my mom for hours. We want to make sure we don’t build a family so big that we don’t have absolutely enough time to raise them each really well.”

There’s no slowing Angelina Jolie down when it comes to her humanitarian efforts.

Just hours after the Oscar-winner was in Ecuador as part of her work as a UNHCR Goodwill Ambassador, she touched down in earthquake-stricken Haiti this weekend for a trip to the SOS Children’s Village in Santo, just outside Port-au-Prince, where nearly 500 dislocated children are housed.

Not only did she bring toys for the kids, but she spent the night in an SOS house. “That is why I like to visit and support the SOS Children’s Villages in the world,” said Jolie, “because I have seen that the children are growing up in a safe and loving environment.”

Angelina Jolie, the actress and United Nations goodwill ambassador, was in the capital Saturday for meetings with President René Préval.

Jolie, who is well known for her interest in children, was on a fact-finding trip to learn more about the situation of Haiti’s children, particularly those left homeless and orphaned by the Jan. 12 earthquake.

Jolie is a goodwill ambassador for the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, UNHCR. She met judges, lawyers, ministry of social affairs officials and other actors involved in children’s issues to get a sense of the problem.

Friday, she visited the United Nations Stabilization Mission (MINUSTAH) log base, where she was the star attraction at a reception.

There were no Brad Pitt sightings.

UNHCR Goodwill Ambassador Angelina Jolie has returned to northern Ecuador to see how the situation has changed since she was last in the country eight years ago and to raise awareness about unaccompanied minors and violence against female refugees.

The award-winning actress, who arrived in the city of Lago Agrío on Thursday, visited UNHCR field operations and the isolated community of Barranca Bermeja, located in thick jungle on the banks of the San Miguel River, which marks the border with Colombia. Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are being lined up to play lovers in a new film.

The actress is the top choice to play legendary murderous Egyptian Queen Cleopatra, with producers said to be keen on her real-life partner – with who she raises six children – to portray Marc Anthony.

The film is being based on Stacey Schiff’s book ‘Cleopatra: A Life’, and the author has indicated she would love to see the couple in the leading roles because they have similar chemistry to Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton, who met and fell in love when they made a 1963 movie playing the historical figures.

She said: “I think Angelina would be perfect for it and I can see a possible Oscar in her future.

“For Marc Anthony? Brad Pitt. They are the Burton/Taylor of our day, reconciling and breaking up within a day in the tabloids.”

The film’s producer Scott Rudin also spoke of his desire to get the ‘Changeling’ actress in the lead role, telling the USA Today newspaper the film is being developed with her in mind as she has the “perfect look”.

Steven Soderbergh is to direct the film.
