25-year-old Wes (James McAvoy) was the most disaffected, cube-dwelling drone the planet had ever known. His boss chewed him out hourly, his girlfriend ignored him routinely and his life plodded on interminably. Everyone was certain this disengaged slacker would amount to nothing. • Filming began in Chicago, USA in April for a five week shoot. Several chase scenes, including one with a low flying helicopter, were shot in the city on May 17 and 18
• Production moved to the Czech Republic for a scheduled twelve week shoot. The city of Prague was used for much of the location shots. As for closed-set shots a large textile factory was contructed specifically for this film
• Production then moved to Hungary for a one week shoot at the Korda Studios' Wet Superstage.
