Plot Outline
Angelina Jolie stars as FBI Special Agent Illeana Scott, hunting a murderer whom she believes takes both the lives–and assumes the identities–of his victims. But when an unexpected attraction sparks a romantic entanglement, the consummate specialist begins to doubt her finely honed instincts. Now, alone in an unfamiliar city, Agent Scott suddenly finds herself on a case that has become chillingly personal–surrounded by suspects . . . with no one she can trust . . . and a serial killer who is Taking Lives.

Trivia
• A scene was shot in which Angelina drives back to her house with the old pick-up and a branch from a tree falls and breaks the windshield. It took several takes to get the shot, and apparently destroyed the last remaining windshields for the pick-up available anywhere in North America at the time. The scene was not used.
• Screenwriters Nicholas Kazan, Hillary Seitz and David Ayer worked on revisions for Jon Bokenkamp’s script.
• During the filming of this movie tabloids blamed Angelina for the break up of Ethan Hawk and Uma Thurman.
