“You’re prettier than me,” Jolie gushed to her man as they arrived quietly at the CAA afterparty at Sunset Tower. Pitt looked dashing as always in a Salvatore Ferragamo three-piece tuxedo.

“It’s nice when everything comes together,” Pitt told E!’s Ryan Seacrest of their double nominations. “It’s a golden night for us!”

Indeed, Jolie naughtily told the Associated Press what she was most looking forward to that evening: “Getting into bed with Brad!”

It was simply to say, ‘We must talk about what happened, we must try to learn from what happened, we must try to see humanity on all sides,’ and if we can, then we can start to move forward.”

On the other hand, Jolie admitted that she was “fascinated” by a political matter somewhat closer to home: the Republican presidential race.

“There’s that part of us that’s wanting to learn about what’s going on, and wanting to see who could possibly be the next president, and taking that very seriously, which it is. And then there’s that other part of it that is this strange television … these characters that we’re watching. So you try to kind of separate that,” Jolie said, adding that “it goes into the bizarre sometimes.”

The actor has admitted that he has taken certain precautions at home to ensure that his three biological and three adopted offspring with Angelina Jolie are not exposed to news and opinions about the pair on the World Wide Web.

The 48-year-old told a German newspaper: “On all the kids’ computers we had our names blocked. They can’t Google their mom and dad. I don’t want to make myself dependent on what other people think.”

Pitt confessed that he and his partner Jolie, 36, are barely conscious of the gossip surrounding their lives.

Angelina Jolie reportedly will lead a star-studded crew of celebrities to Durban for the U.N. climate change conference (COP17) from 28 November – 9 December 2011. The global summit is set to be the biggest event in Durban’s history. Angelina is currently UNHCR’s Goodwill Ambassador, she will be joined by actor and committed environmentalist Leonardo DiCaprio, former Californian governor Arnold Schwarzenegger, former US vice-president and active environmental campaigner Al Gore and Bono from U2.

It’s reported that all hotels in and around Durban city have been booked out and the conference is due to net the hospitality industry more than R500m (approx. £38m). Among other notable guests to attend the event include World Bank president Robert Zoellick, U.N.
Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon and eight Nobel Laureates, including Archbishop Emeritus Desmond Tutu. CNN founder Ted Turner and Virgin boss Richard Branson are also said to be in town for the conference.

The global event is expected to attract delegates from more than 200 countries as the world’s governments and leaders will discuss a new global agreement to tackle greenhouse gas emissions and climate change.
Sue Bannister, acting head of the eThekwini Municipality’s strategic projects unit, said hosting the event would cost the city a little more than R50m, but that it will be money well spent. “The mileage Durban will get from this event is massive,” she told the Sunday Independent.

“The people coming are not just here for match days, but are here for two straight weeks. It’s as big as the World Cup, just at a tenth of the cost,” she said.

The couple’s older children also attended this school while Angie directed In the Land of Blood and Honey last fall. “Angie wants the twins to have a very normal upbringing,” says a friend.

“The twins are really excited that they’re finally in preschool,” a longtime pal of the famous family tells Life & Style. “They have long seen the other kids pack up and head off to school and yearned to be a part of it all. Now they can finally join them!”

Hollywood star Jon Voight had publicly estranged from his daughter Angelina Jolie but after being struck by emotional epiphany, he decided to reconcile.

The 72-year-old fell out with Jolie in 2002 when he accused her of having ‘serious mental problems’, while Jolie, 37, had criticised him for having an affair behind her mother’s back.

Father and daughter had their first tentative meeting in Venice last year after Jolie’s husband, Brad Pitt, acted as go-between.

Speaking from Los Angeles, he said his change of heart came in an instant.

“I suddenly saw things differently and everything shifted. That one moment changed my whole life,” the Daily Mail quoted him as saying.

“It gave me back my daughter and my family. Being reunited with my Angie is very precious to me.”

Voight also admitted that he is really fond of his grandchildren too.

“I adore my grandchildren, they are my great love. It makes me so emotional and grateful.”

“When my daughter sees me with them she says she sees another energy in me which takes over.”

“I’m always laughing and completely happy when I’m with them. It makes Angie so happy too, as you can imagine,” he added. (ANI)

The award, called “The Heart of Sarajevo,” was handed to Jolie by festival director, Miro Purivatra, who said it was being given to her not only for her great impact in the movie industry, but also “for persisting in her active engagement in the complexities in the real world we live in.”

Jolie visited Bosnia several times last year as UNHCR ambassador and drew attention to the plight of 117,000 people who haven’t able to return to their homes even though the Bosnia war ended 16 years ago. Accompanied by Brad Pitt, she visited several refugee camps. The visit resulted in a U.S. government donation that provided housing for the last 15 people living in one of the rundown facilities.

“I told Brad in the car I was afraid I was going to cry,” she said with tears in her eyes as the audience gave her a standing ovation at the Sarajevo National Theater.

Jolie said she experienced the “warmth and hospitality” of the city during her visits and was honored to receive the award — a silver heart she took out of the box and pressed against her chest.

“There is no greater example of the strength of artists than a festival that begun during the war and grows stronger every year. I find it remarkable,” she said.

Jolie and Pitt later watched a film about refugees by Oscar-winning Bosnian director Danis Tanovic.

The Sarajevo Film Festival started in 1994 in the besieged city, as its founders tried to offer citizens some sense of normal life. Residents braved mortar shells raining on the city to gather in a downtown basement and watch Quentin Tarantino’s “Pulp Fiction,” sometimes unsure whether the sounds of shooting came from the soundtrack or battles outside.

The next year, filmmakers shipped boxes of videotapes to Sarajevo along with food deliveries. Now, thousands from the region flock to Sarajevo every year to spend several days watching movies in more than 10 locations, and nights partying at concerts and other after-screening events.

Last year, Jolie shot some of the scenes of her first movie as director — a love story between a Serb man and Bosnian Muslim woman who fall in love and get separated during the war — in Bosnia. The film, “In the Land of Blood and Honey,” will be released in December and casts local actors.

“In my career, I have never worked with such disciplined and talented artists,” she said.

The project was overshadowed for a while by rumors that her movie featured a rape victim who falls in love with her assailant. This angered The Association of Women Victims of War, made of Bosnian wartime rape victims. They protested the production, claiming they were insulted by such a story line.

Mass rape was a taboo topic in the immediate aftermath of the country’s 1992-95 war between Serb and Bosnian Muslim forces, but since then victims have formed a group to campaign for their rights, which has become one of the country’s most powerful lobbies.

Jolie’s filming permit was even briefly withdrawn but given back when her producers proved the rumor was not true and the entire Bosnian art community voiced support for her.

This year’s festival hosted among others German director Wim Wenders and actress Charlotte Rampling. Over eight days, about 100,000 viewers watched over 200 films from dozens of countries.

Promoted in part by the festival, Bosnia is experiencing a film boom, despite its poverty. The country’s filmmakers have won prestigious awards, including a foreign-film Oscar for Danis Tanovic’s “No Man’s Land” in 2002 and the Berlin Film Festival’s Golden Bear for Jasmila Zbanic’s “Grbavica” in 2006.

Each year, the festival hosts stars such as Kevin Spacey, Morgan Freeman, Michael Moore, Daniel Craig or Mickey Rourke among others.

This travel message we give through personal journeys is a fundamental one for the brand. This campaign is about a very special person and a very special journey.” In fact, Cambodia is the country from which Jolie adopted eldest son Maddox, and where she and partner Brad Pitt later established a foundation in the 9½-year-old’s name.
